There are a number of different ways to run your ruby scripts and it s good to give each of them a try before you settle on one as your go to. You can then generate a new rails app with rails new app name. Using the classic hello world script where all we do is print hello world to the console i m going to show you four ways in which you can write and run a script with ruby. From little helpers to full on command line utilities the possibilities are endless.
